Blueberries

I'm feeling kinda blue these days, hence blueberries are on my mind. Blueberry sweets and blueberry movies. Watched My Blueberry Nights the other day, a Wong Kar-Wai film from 2007, the man behind one of my favourite all-time movies In the mood for love (if you haven't seen it do yourself a favour and do it).

It was a really sweet and romantic movie, Jude Law as the leading man had something to do with it of course. His character owns a small cafe, collects strangers' keys and makes blueberry pies that noone wants. Until someone does.

And then I made some blueberry mini muffins. They were small, soft and moist with a lovely hint of berry-ness. Luckily a lot of people wanted them, so now they're all gone.

Thus ends my blueberry story and my blue(berry) phase.

You can never have enough cheese

I'm amidst preparations for a craft fair in two weeks, so not much time left to blog! I watched this hilarious video featuring the cheesiest movie quotes and thought I'd share it with you, I'm sure you'll find your personal favourite in them!

Thank you for all your comments on my rings post, I'll blog soon about my earrings and brooches collections, have to make time to photograph them first! Not enough time and not enough light right now I'm afraid.

My days are filled with crafting, and mentally preparing a new limited edition line of necklaces and brooches. Current obsessions include circus peanuts, yearbooks, vintage fabric, nail polish and horses.

Hope all is well with you! xoxo

Put a ring on it

I love rings. I think it's one of the "easiest" accessories you can put on, meaning that it doesn't really need to match your outfit and it instantly makes a statement. I have quite a lot of them, here's just a few. In the picture above, a part of my personal collection. From left to right:

- I bought the bird one from Etsy, after falling in love with it at first sight.
-I made this one with a floral, ceramic button I bought in the V&A museum in London.
-This one is probably the oldest item I own. It used to belong to my great-grandmother.
-And the last one was my late grandmother's. It's nice to have a memento of hers.

And these are some new rings I've made recently for the shop and for a craft fair (details soon!). From left to right: bottlecap, volcano, b&w stars, vintage button.

The book I'm resting my hand on is the Sartorialist one, a late Xmas present! The ultimate eye candy.

Until next time, xoxo.

Lolita in London

Anna, the girl behind the lovely blog much love asked us to participate in her new Monday Project, by blogging one thing we love accompanied by a picture featuring a heart. I love heart shapes so here it goes:

These sunglasses combine two of my favourite things: Lolita and London. I bought them the last time I was there, and wearing them makes me think of that trip. Lolita is one of my favourite books and London one of my favourite places is the world! A match made in heaven, no?
