Acropolis museum + giveaway!

The Acropolis Museum opened its gates a few months ago, and I finally visited it a nice sunny day. The building is sleek and modern, with lots of natural light. I couldn't take any photos of the ancient artifacts and statues, but I can honestly say that there are some pretty amazing and awe-inspiring things inside. Instead, I took photos of the view from the terrace.

After visiting the gift shop (more on that later!), we took a walk around Plaka, the area around the Acropolis. It was quite early so it wasn't crowded, which made for a nice change!

I guess it's true what they say, the best things in life are free!

Gladiator heaven!

Colourful summer dresses and scarves in the shops.

Yummy ice-cream! Love the blue one!

And now, it's time for our giveaway! To enter all you have to do is leave a comment on this post until August 20. The winner will be randomly selected and will receive a pencil, a bookmark and a postcard from the Acropolis museum pictured below.

The winner will be announced here, August 21. Good luck!

What's in the blue ice cream? It looks like sprinkles, but I can't be sure. Also, you have no idea how jealous I am that you live in Greece. I keep meaning to mention that, but always forget.

This is my jealous hat that I'm wearing while you're looking at the Acropolis. :3

Please do enter me Natalie! The views are gorgeous and the shopping is heaven... I want to visit Gladiator Heaven!! Also, the scarfs. You make me wish I was in Greece. I saw a great television program on the Parthenon and it's restoration just this last week. How amazing to be able to visit all of these incredible monuments and museums.♥

Oh man, those gladiators are amazing. Though it's a little silly that I would be just as happy with blue icecream any day.
