Giveaway!

I'm leaving for London on Thursday (yay!) so there'll be some time before I return to my blog. I decided as a treat to leave you with a giveaway. There will be two winners, the first one will win these 3 pairs of earrings

The first one is aluminum lavender roses, the second vintage plastic baby blue hearts and the third one vintage lucite dots. All earrings are mounted on stainless steel studs.

The second winner will get this ring

It is made with a vintage polka dot cabochon and a silvertone adjustable ring.

I can almost hear you... "Aaah, stop tempting me! How do I win these works of art? " Well, fear not dear readers, it's very simple!

All you have to do is leave a comment here telling me your favourite movie quote. It doesn't have to be a classic, just your personal favourite one. I'd love some inspiration for my film/picture posts, so really you'd be helping me!

The contest will run until Sunday 12 July. I will draw names and post the winners here on Monday 13 July. Please, feel free to spread the word around via twitter, posting on your blog or shouting from the rooftops!

Good luck and see you soon!

i don't really have a favourite.
but i think that the funniest/most recent one would have to be from the hangover when Alan makes a toast to Doug on the roof of Caesar's Palace.
HAHAH.
"You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack... it grew by one. So there... there were two of us in the wolf pack... I was alone first in the pack, and then Doug joined in later. And six months ago, when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought, "Wait a second, could it be?" And now I know for sure, I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. Four of us wolves, running around the desert together, in Las Vegas, looking for strippers and cocaine. So tonight, I make a toast!"

My personal favorite: "We're the bastard children of history" from Fight Club. A close second is The Princess Bride's "Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling you something."
Oh, and just to make it a set of three: "All the birds are singing that you're gonna die", which is of course from Dr. Horrible. :)

Ok, let me think...
I'm going to have to go with a goofy one from Napoleon Dynomite, "I see you're drinking 1%. Is that 'cause you think you're fat? 'Cause you're not. You could be drinking whole if you wanted to."

I have a bevy of Waynes World quotes:

"No Stairway. De.nied!"

"If you're going to spew, spew into this" *holds up crunched dixie cup*
(followed by: "I'm giving you the no honk guarantee")

"Who's trying to eat you Mr. Doughnut head man? *tiny voice* I dunno, but they'd better noooot!"

And from Princess Bride: "You keep saying that word... I do not think that word means what you think it means"

I'm a huge Firefly fan and this quote from "Serenity" really speaks to me. The metaphor that Mal paints at the end makes me tear up every time!

Mal: You know what the first rule of flyin' is? Well, I suppose you do since you already know what I'm about to say.

River: I do. But I like to hear you say it.

Mal: Love. You can know all the math in the 'verse, but take a boat in the air you don't love and she'll shake you off sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down. Tells ya she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

/heart!

i have so many movies that are my fav but i would go for my old time classic! ok ready? dont make fun of me please! Its Rocky!!!!

so i ll give u 2 different lines from Rocky 1! both sum up his love for Andrian! humple & to the point!
[the 15th and final round of the fight has ended; reporters climb into the ring for interviews]
Fight Announcer: [interviews Rocky] It was chaos. Rocky, you went the distance. You went the 15 rounds. How do you feel?
Rocky: All right!
Fight Announcer: What were you thinking about when that buzzer sounded?
Rocky: [yelling] Adrian!
Fight Announcer: What were you thinking when the 15th...
Rocky: What? Adrian!
Rocky: Rocky? Rocky?
Jergens: [taking the mic] Ladies and Gentlemen, your attention, please.
Adrian: Rocky? Rocky!
Jergens: Tonight, we have had the privilege of witnessing the greatest exhibition of guts and stamina in the history of the ring!
Rocky: Adrian!
Adrian: Rocky. Rocky!
Jergens: [reads the results] Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a split decision.
[Jergens continues; indistinct]
Rocky: ADRIAN!
Adrian: Rocky!
Jergens: ...for Creed!
[audience cheers]

and the other one is:
Paulie: [talking about Adrian] You like her?
Rocky: Sure, I like her.
Paulie: What's the attraction?
Rocky: I dunno... she fills gaps.
Paulie: What's 'gaps'?
Rocky: I dunno, she's got gaps, I got gaps, together we fill gaps.
Paulie: Are you ballin' her?
Rocky: Hey!
[punches Paulie in the shoulder]
Rocky: You don't talk dirty about your sister!

thank u and sorry for the huge comment!! :)

Beginnings are scary. Endings are usually sad, but its what is in the middle that counts. So when you find yourself at the beginning, just give hope a chance to float up and it will.
