In today's post, Christmas snapshots! I do love Christmas, but as someone wise once said (it was I, a few days ago) "I love the anticipation of Christmas more than Christmas itself." Christmas Eve was spent with my family, eating, drinking eggnog, eating, drinking wine, eating some more. Time well spent!
That was lunch. I made mushroom risotto for lunch, it was my first time but I must say it was delicious! Must make it again soon!
We got store-bought eggnog this time (too lazy to make it from scratch) and added rum, nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. I'd have liked it a bit sweeter, but maybe I made it a little heavy on the rum, oops!
Amélie was on tv tonight, it's amazing how it still makes me all teary. I love it, it's so sweet, romantic and dreamy without being corny or annoying. A perfect movie.
A couple of Christmas stockings ornaments on the tree. The tree is a mixture of fabric ornaments, baubles, wooden toys and of course tons of twinkling lights! Hope you had a lovely Christmas Eve and an even lovelier Christmas Day! And if you don't celebrate Christmas, enjoy the holiday!
