Pile of books

These are some books I bought recently. I have a huge "to read" list, but can't seem to stop getting more!

David Sedaris is an all-time favourite of mine, I've read many of his books and they are so funny, sincere, entertaining, touching. I've also been lucky enough to meet him in a book signing last year, he was so sweet and approachable, it made me love him even more! His sister, Amy Sedaris, is one talented lady too, her book I Like You: Hospitality Under The Influence is brilliant.

Are you reading anything good?

Crafts and TV

Somehow I became attracted to kilt pins recently. They look great as brooches, and I'm having so much fun imagining different ways to decorate them. This is my latest creation, aptly named "More Merlot Please". There are gonna be a lot more to come!

On unrelated news, "So you think you can dance" is back! Yay! I love watching it, the sheer talent of the dancers and choreographers never ceases to amaze me.
My top-3 reality/talent shows are:
1.Project Runway
2.Top Chef
3.So you think you can dance

Are you watching?

A little bit of shopping

I went to buy some gifts at the shops yesterday, and decided to treat myself as well. I got the May issue of Wired, guest edited by J.J. Abrams. I'm a huge fan of Abrams, and this issue is so cool! There's a puzzle hidden in the issue, it's full of codes, clues and tricks. I won't pretend to try and solve it though, I'm already looking for the solution online!
You can also see a pair of tiny plane earrings in the picture. Another treat for me, from Accessorize.

All in all, a pretty good day.

Tea love

Perfect for a hot day. Starbucks make the best drinks.

In other news, I'm having terrible PC problems. It's so incredibly frustrating, and I'm doing my best to keep a positive attitude and not go nuts. Argh.

Brambleberry. I like this word.

The forgotten carousel

Carousels to me are magical places, like they come straight out of a fairy tale. I would love to have my own. In my mind the horses always come to life and we fly away.

I would sleep inside that hot-air balloon.

Saturday breakfast

I really enjoy eating a big breakfast, but I rarely have the time or energy in the mornings to prepare one. That's why I love breakfast buffets in hotels, I could sit and eat for hours!

So, here's today's breakfast. Black coffee and a vanilla muffin with chocolate chips. The muffins are handmade from a local bakery and they are delicious! Perfect with coffee or tea. I bought a selection of both vanilla and chocolate, but I prefer the vanilla ones for me. The mug is a favourite of mine from London.

I have somewhat of an obsession with mugs, I love collecting them. I have quite a few, and they will probably make appearances in my photos as I try to use them all periodically instead of getting one out of the cupboard and forgetting the others. I do that a lot, with other things as well. I need to add some variety in my everyday life!

Look what I bought!

Isn't it the coolest mug? I got it from jessjamesjake.etsy.com and I love it! You have to check out her shop for the most amazing vintage finds, you won't be disappointed!

I'm sure it will be put to good use...

Long time no post

I neglected my little blog these past days, and I feel kinda bad about it. But, I had a valid reason. I'm slowly making my own studio! Yay!
My jewelry making has taken over my home, with all my tools, supplies, pieces popping up in every surface of every room and I couldn't keep things organised anymore. So, I transformed my basement into a nifty little studio. All it has right now are some new shelves and a gorgeous vintage wooden desk, but it definitely has potential!
I'm gonna share some pictures when it's photo-worthy, and I promise I will never neglect my blog again!

Until next time, xoxo.
