Santa's here!

Hands up mister! In a previous post, I told you to look out for Santa. Well, he's here now! A little late perhaps, but he's here nonetheless. And he's come bearing gifts. Two, to be exact. Yes, yes, it's giveaway time!

First, the rules: Well, it's the festive season, a season of joy and twinkling lights, of companionship and stuffed turkey, of love and copious amounts of booze so there are no rules! Just leave a comment here by next Sunday and you'll be entered!

The prizes? There are two prizes, made by moi, for two winners. The first one, will get the necklace pictured below. A purple, vintage plastic bead hanging from a 18'' antique brass-coloured ballchain.

The second winner will get this ring, made with an old greek coin, no longer in circulation, on an antique bronze adjustable ring base.

I hope you like them! Finally, as this is my last post for 2009, I would like to sincerely wish you a spectacular 2010, filled with all the people and things you love and to thank you for all your comments and thoughts and feelings and words and pictures you shared with me in 2009. They all made my days brighter.

Hugs, kisses and cupcakes for everyone!

Fa la lalala, la lalala...

In today's post, Christmas snapshots! I do love Christmas, but as someone wise once said (it was I, a few days ago) "I love the anticipation of Christmas more than Christmas itself." Christmas Eve was spent with my family, eating, drinking eggnog, eating, drinking wine, eating some more. Time well spent!

That was lunch. I made mushroom risotto for lunch, it was my first time but I must say it was delicious! Must make it again soon!

We got store-bought eggnog this time (too lazy to make it from scratch) and added rum, nutmeg and a cinnamon stick. I'd have liked it a bit sweeter, but maybe I made it a little heavy on the rum, oops!

Amélie was on tv tonight, it's amazing how it still makes me all teary. I love it, it's so sweet, romantic and dreamy without being corny or annoying. A perfect movie.

A couple of Christmas stockings ornaments on the tree. The tree is a mixture of fabric ornaments, baubles, wooden toys and of course tons of twinkling lights!

Hope you had a lovely Christmas Eve and an even lovelier Christmas Day! And if you don't celebrate Christmas, enjoy the holiday!

'Tis the season

Sorry for the lack of posts, but I spent my time working for my first craft fair which took place yesterday! It was fun, and went better than I expected actually! The lighting was a bit dark, and unfortunately I didn't take any decent pics. I'm so, so tired today, I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep!

There will be shopping and going out and stuff the following days so there will be more posts, I feel bad for neglecting my poor blog. Until next time, look out for Santa!

A day out

The plan was to spend a few nice hours walking around downtown, visiting jewellery designer Maria Mastori's bazaar, having coffee and doing what girls do. And I'm happy to say it all went according to plan! (yup, sorry no twists here).

I really liked the old lift of the building although I was kinda nervous at first, but it was a smooth ride after all.

This is what I bought! Squee!!!! It's a ring in case it's not obvious. So extravagant and over the top, I love it.

I actually promised not to post any more cappuccino photos here, but the coffee girl was nice enough to make me a cinnamon Christmas tree!

Stelios Parliaros' pastry shop is made out of sugar, cream and chocolate. He's the most popular Greek pastry chef, and I swear could spend loads of money in his shop, I wanted it all! As you can see, the window was amazing, there were choux everywhere! I was so overwhelmed by the products I couldn't decide what to get, so I only got the yummy chocolate and pistachio biscuits. I'm going back for sure!

Lastly, a couple of outfit details. Thick scarf with a flower brooch (gift from mum) and a vintage belt-like ring, one of my favourites.

I'm ashamed to say I still haven't started my Chrismas shopping! I'd better get to it... How about you? Are you done or not started yet?

An update

Another short post from me, have been feeling a bit under the weather again. Sore throat, and fighting off fever. I don't want this to turn into a self-pity post, so let's move on to more positive news! Saturday, 19 December I will be participating in the Be Younique exhibition taking place at Cabaret Voltaire, Gazi. First time doing something like this, stressed and excited at once!

I have also managed to finish a new ring collection, Europe Is For Lovers. Six bottlecap rings, inspired by Europe. Very limited edition!

Right now, browsing cookie and cake recipes for Christmas. I'm thinking ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Eggnog or glühwein? Hmm, maybe both!

Stay tuned for an upcoming giveaway!
