Worn

WORN is a fashion magazine unlike the others. Based in Toronto, Canada it comes out twice a year, and discusses fashion, art, photography and different cultures. In their own words:

Since we do not report on trends or promote the newest items on the market, our content is as interesting and relevant today as it will be five years down the road. Although we love and support Toronto fashion, we include content from all over Canada and the rest of the world. WORN hasn’t missed the fact that there are scads of fashion magazines out there. But we feel something is missing: opinion and intelligent commentary that’s untainted by advertisers’ demands. [...]We strive to embody a place between pop culture magazine and academic journal that opens new avenues in art and fashion theory by hovering where these two ideas intersect, connecting with fashion scholars and artists. We pay attention to how what is worn is made, interpreted, transformed, disseminated, and copied.

Hard as nails

A lazy afternoon, plus some black lace scraps and a little bit of time gave me the result pictured above. I followed this tutorial and I do think they turned out pretty good! I only did one hand though, I could never do my left one without any help, but I highly recommend it.

The two Dianas

Imagine my excitement when I got this sweet baby in the mail! The story begins like this: I won a contest over at Diana's blog a few weeks ago and the prize was a Diana Mini camera. I nearly screamed with glee when I found out, and on Monday I got it! It's the cutest camera I own, hands down. Diana was super-kind and filled my package with all sorts of goodies from her fabulous shop , thank you again honey!

Something new

Not the best week for me, so some shopping was done to lift my spirits. I'm glad this week is over and we're off to a new one although I still can't believe winter is over and spring is here. I want more winter, we only got like 2 weeks of cold! I'm not ready for sunshine just yet. Anyway, let's move on to the good part, the shopping that is.
